Availability of Geological and Geophysical Data

The “Paleozoiskaya” structure was detected in 2000 as the result of 2D seismic data reprocessing carried out by Industrial Association for Offshore Geological and Geophysical Survey “Soyuzmorgeo” in 1998.

A great amount of geological & geophysical and ecological-hydrometeorological surveys have been carrying out within the structure and its surrounding water area.

1140 running km of detailed 2D seismic exploration (2003).

Report and Registration Certificate for Paleozoiskaya structure with four recommended points for prospecting and appraisal well drilling were issued based on the seismic survey data.

600 line-km of gravity surveys (2003).

600 line-km of magnetic surveys (2003).

Geological & engineering surveys to install SEFDR (2004):

• drilling of exploratory wells (18 EW — 574 running meters);
• bathymetric, hydrolocation, hydromagnetic soundings (1188 running km);
• high-resolution seismic (HRS — 157 running km).

2 sites to install SEFDR were prepared based on surveys conducted.

Electrical prospecting (200 line-km), hydro-gas survey (200 line-km), 2007.

In 2007 geological service of CJSC “Chernomorneftegaz” carried out basin model investigations of Russian sector of the Sea of Azov including structure Visokosnaya.

In 2008 the following activities are planned to be carried out:

• 250 sq. km of 3D seismic survey and integral analysis of the whole geological and geophysical data for improvement of the existing geological models
• to correct:
  • Registration Certificates for the revealed structures.
  • Prospecting and appraisal well designs.
