Oil-and-Gas-Bearing Capacity

The licensed block is located in Azov oil-and-gas bearing region of West-Kuban oil-and-gas bearing area, at dome of Azov ridge.

Large-scale oil and gas fields were discovered both in neighboring Ciscaucasia onshore deposits (more than 20 onshore fields in Triassic or Permian-Triassic) and in offshore ones.

The oil-and-gas bearing deposits are associated with Middle Carboniferous and Middle Triassic periods.

Oil-and-gas-source formations are clay rocks of Middle Carboniferous and Lower and Middle Triassic age.

Thickness of the oil-and-gas-source formations varies from 2.0 up to 5.5—6.0 km. Fluid migration is from south (Timachevskaya bench and Indolo-Kubanskiy trough).

Reservoirs: Middle Carboniferous fractured limestones, Middle Triassic terrigenous and carbonate deposits.

Traps: anticlinal and partially fault-bounded.

Seals: for Middle Carboniferous traps — Lower Triassic clay rocks. For Middle Triassic traps — Upper Triassic and Jurassic clay rocks.

The structures revealed at the licensed block allows to expect hydrocarbon commercial discoveries.
