Brief information Implementation of Ecological Policy of
CJSC "Chernomorneftegaz"
CJSC "Chernomorneftegaz", within the framework of ecological support
of process of exploration of the licensed block, has worked out Programs
of Industrial Environmental Monitoring agreed with Environmental Authorities
during prospecting and appraisal drilling in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov.
The Programs provide for annual ecological complex studies of
marine environment condition taking into account seasonal variations
of marine ecosystems.
Generalized targets of Industrial Environmental Monitoring are the following:
- to get information about ecological state of water areas
of the licensed blocks, paying attention to ecosystem mode reformations taken place;
- to estimate environmental impact of water areas of the licensed blocks
and adjacent areas on ecosystems by means of dynamics of aqueous masses;
- at monitoring of physical, chemical and biological conditions
of the marine environment to estimate actual impact
(identification of sources, reasons, extent and scale), to reveal
negative processes in environment and ecological systems of the Black Sea
and Sea of Azov during prospecting and appraisal drilling of
CJSC "Chernomorneftegaz";
- to estimate and predict possible ecological, economical and social impact
of prospecting and appraisal activity of CJSC "Chernomorneftegaz"
on environment and ecosystems of the Black Sea and Sea of Azov;
- to work out action sheet and to estimate effectiveness of nature protection
actions held by CJSC "Chernomorneftegaz" during HC prospecting
at the licensed blocks of the Black and Azov seas;
- to use the results received at the initial stage of
Industrial Environmental Monitoring for environment impact assessment
procedure and environment protection at planning of the following stages
of HC prospecting and production activity of CJSC "Chernomorneftegaz".
At the present time initial stages of the Industrial Environmental Monitoring
of the licensed blocks of the Black Sea and Sea of Azov have been
successfully executed. Ecological monitoring process is in progress.
